Indoor tracking is an evolving field that is now more aligned with user expectations because of the improved range, battery life and affordability of wireless BLE beacons. The idea is to generate position ‘fixes’ indoor based on the known location of these BLE beacons. It works in situations where GPS signals are not accurate or available (large facilities with several floors for example).
The setup for these projects can vary by facility and may require floorplan digitization and additional setup tasks. A separate quote->proof of concept->testing process is necessary before full deployment. We suggest that you send us your requirements and to begin discussing how we can work with you on your indoor tracking project. Asset beacons and IoTplot terminals are not turnkey indoor tracking solutions. Please do not purchase these items for indoor tracking before consulting with us.Â
