IoTplot is a cloud based platform for fleet management and IoT. The system allows end users to monitor vehicles, equipment, people, sensors, and other units.Â

Connect your hardware
Your IoTplot tracking terminal (
OBD unit or
Wired unit) arrives preconfigured and should start transmitting data automatically when powered up. For installation instructions, scan the QR codes on the cards received in your package, or you can navigate to the installation tabs on the
OBD or
Wired terminal product pages. Your phone may also be used as a tracking unit by installing a
compatible app.

Possible problems and solutions
1 – The terminal is connected, but is not tracking
Â
You’ve logged in to the portal, clicked on the Monitoring tab, the icon of the connection state is green which means the terminal is online, but there are no available satellites.
- Check that the unit ‘sees’ the satellites. For instance, if it is in a garage, drive it to a location with a clear view of the sky.
2 – The terminal is not connected
You’ve logged in to the portal, clicked on the Monitoring tab, the icon of the connection state is grey which means that the terminal is offline. The data recency icon also indicates that are no available satellites.Â
- Please allow up to 5 minutes for an initial connection when your terminal is delivered.Â
- If the cellular data service at the unit’s location is spotty/low, the terminal may not be able to establish a connection to the data network. In cases like these all data will be stored in the terminal’s ‘black box’ memory and synchronized with the portal when a connection is established. You may take a test drive to a location with stable cellular service to see if a connection is established.
If this does not help, please send an email to support@iotplot.com with a detailed description of the problem, a screenshot of the unit list in the monitoring tab, and your terminal’s IMEI number (labeled on the terminal’s case). You may also submit a ticket directly here.Â
